Topic to be covered in week 12.

I think that in week 12 that we should discuss graffiti because it's everywhere.There are different views on it as some think it's art but other people think it's vandalism. Looking online at definitions these different views can be seen on http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=graffiti which suggests that it's art and misunderstood, whereas other websites describe it as vandalism, http://www.babylon.com/definition/Graffiti/English. Graffiti can be found anywhere on the back of buildings, motorway bridges, alleyways which sometimes makes you wonder how it got there in the first place. People may be attracted to doing this because they are bored, pressurised into doing it by others or it may be because they think it's pretty. Obviously these aren't the only reasons as it is impossible to know all the reasons behind a person's behaviour. The following is a picture found on google images of graffiti:

I think it would be good to discuss graffiti to find out what people with different backgrounds think of it. I also think it would be good to discuss this as there are some issues that graffiti raises such as:

1. Is it art or a mess?
2. Is graffiti a talent?
