I think you have raised an interesting point about betrayal however I don't really agree as there are always other options. As I have never been in an abusive relationship I can't comment on that but I do think that people do have a choice and can be honest and if they are in unhappy or potential dangerous relationships they should get out. I realise this becomes difficult if there are children involved but there are people who can help.
